Iceland is a photographic revelation. Nothing repeats itself; everything changes in the moment. I worked with light that often only lasts for seconds, with structures brought to life by rain and wind. Maintaining the balance between documentary accuracy and artistic interpretation was particularly challenging and fascinating. Drone shots opened up new spaces, while the natural light made almost every scene appear painted. This reportage is a homage to the photographic play with elements that makes Iceland so unique.
